About

Rooted in our community.

Twenty years ago, we started Friday Fun Night in the basement of Coraopolis Church of God where kids received a hot dinner, played games and went on occasional field trips. Over time, we went from doing what we can to help fill the gaps in our community to becoming change agents.  We started a small after-school program, began offering free summer lunch and the Annual Back 2 School Bash became our signature community event.

Today, we still offer these same programs and events on a larger scale at The Hub. Our goal to provide programming that mitigates the negative social, emotional and structural impact of suburban poverty and to serve as a unique and accessible community hub in a region with exceptionally limited resources.

Our Mission

Coraopolis Youth Creations is dedicated to building community and strengthening families through youth enrichment.

Our Vision

A vibrant community hub where members are empowered and active in making it a great place to work, play, learn, connect and serve.

We live, work, play, and serve in Coraopolis.

Volunteers are a vital part of our community and play a critical role in CYC’s success. Each of us has a special passion. Whether it’s cooking, art, dance, music, environmental education we need volunteers for one-time demonstrations or weekly classes—you choose the topic and the format! We are always looking for volunteers for family nights and annual events.  Find out more about volunteer opportunities here.
